about CARE

Who Do We Help?
Okay, so we knew we wanted to help. We had garnered enough financial and social support to actually be of assistance. The next question was, who? Third world countries (like India and Kenya) have millions of people living below the poverty line. How does one decide who is the most needy or deserving, among them? The unanimous decision was children. In India, for instance, there are over XXXXX million children living in appalling conditions. Some are victims of natural disasters. For some, the biggest dangers lie within the walls of their own homes. Starving children, physically and mentally challenged children, orphaned children…one only has to open one’s eyes to realise the shocking numbers of underprivileged childen living in India and Africa.

What Makes Us Different?
We don’t believe that handouts are the way to help children. It is our firm conviction that all they need is an opportunity, a chance to improve their lives. We invest in them and in their futures. Our motives are simple. We know that when we give, we will get back double. After all, what can be more rewarding than knowing that you have made a difference in someone’s life and given him or her a fighting chance at a better future?

CAREducation Trust does not operate from under one single roof. We have partnerships with charities, trusts and associations around the world. Local assistance from organisations that are stake-holders in our projects, immediately strengthens our stand and makes our projects and programmes that much more effective. We also work on the basis of zero administration cost. No trustee or officer is paid any remuneration nor reimbursed any costs or expenses incurred whilst on charity’s business, including travel and accommodation costs. All trustees are from professional backgrounds and give their time freely. That apart, we have a 100% transparent work mode. Our benefactors just need to click on our website to see exactly where their money was spent, who it was spent on and what good it did. We also welcome volunteers or donors to visit our project sites, meet the childen, get involved and experience CARE’s unique grassroots level approach to charity work, for themselves.
